Hello! Just had a pain procedure for my lumbar spine, and a young male nurse who was assisting, spoke of trying to get through to his father regarding the benefits of marijuana that might be helpful to his father who was ignoring him. I said, “Send him to me!”

So here you are!

Because I am a woman of many years you have come to me to get some straight talk about what I have found to be true for me even though I didn’t do marijuana back in the day.

It certainly was available to me then as I lived with someone who smoked day and night while I helped run his business, however it speeded me up too much as it turns out I’m very sensitive to any drug. The one that was available to me at that time probably was a sativa but still others were smoking it at the same time as I and were going to sleep as I was up all night which was no fun with everyone else asleep! So I didn’t indulge during all of that time.

Now many years later, after slipping on the snow in Colorado, I fell on my keister and begin to have pain down my right thigh which brought me to a doctor who after three epidurals said I could have no more and would need to have surgery, so I did.

He gave me a four vertebrae lumbar fusion which began to give me pain in about 6 weeks and he refused to give me any heavier pain relief than something that didn’t work, so after lying in bed crying for 3 days I got angry!

I called a dear friend in Los Angeles who was married to a doctor, and told her my story. She told me to go to an arthritis doctor and I found the best in town. He gave me a prescription for Vicodin which I used for some years until I found a chiropractor who used a “proadjuster.” I decided to go to him three times a week. Having good insurance, I could do that. Within a couple of months the pain started to decrease and I started to decrease my Vicodin by a little at a time until I was totally off of it.

Then in a few years here came the pain again and once again I went to my arthritis doctor and renewed my prescription for 5 mgs of Vicodin, every 4 hours but by afternoon, the pain went away so I was taking probably four a day. Then I began noticing that taking the Vicodin was affecting my driving and that was scary so I decided I would try cannabis to see if I could get off of the Vicodin thus began my education, my own education, regarding cannabis.

June 25, 2023 Sunday night:

As you can see I know nothing about writing in here so I need to sign up for a WordPress class.

However since I didn’t know what I was doing when I signed up, this class was available, and when I got there, the gal who was going to be teaching this class was alone, so I got her total attention for the whole time we were together. She was able to sign me up for a WordPress class and I didn’t have a clue yet as to what my subject would be.

Barely Sufacing…..

Had a bad fall during the move that really messed up my right shoulder so that I can hardly do dishes can’t mop my floor, laundry is so piled up….

…I was so devastated from the very bad fall I had plus the weather, I couldn’t even commit Monday, 2.10.2020 with my incredibly put-together-big-time-professional from-The-Big-Town-30-something-gal- dressed-out-of-Office-Magazine interviewer at the specified coffee House she chose.

I knew I couldn’t commit to the ten hours of work doing petitions this week that she wanted… And A Big Light Bulb went off! “I am fucking DISABLED!”

Tilt….another long story…..

….and it was Valentine’s week! Bet you would love me to let you in on that story: We were each broke and pretty much knocked out in pain from the air pressure changes, and had no weed. Hardly saw each other except for one surprisely lovely evening. Hmmm?

It is Weed Day: just did get a monthly special today, the 15th. 15th to the end of the month 1/2 off an 8th. I got the top drawer after a long discussion with my budvisor including his Sun Sign, Libra (okay so I am an astrologer who was pleased with our discussion and feeling he was an air sign so I had to know), and his experiences using marijuna to work specifically within his body to release pain. Not talking CBD here.

I am talking focusing the energy from this potion to work within your own body. Stumbled on this and was so extra- pleased to be doing this cannabis experience!!!!!

I signed up for a weed certificate after several years of Vicodin for my never-ending lumbar pain after a five- vertebrae lumbar surgery in 2006 at age perfectly–healthy- 66- years. I noticed that my driving was starting to suffer from the opioids. It was time to try Cannabis.

Have ended up doing three 325 mg vicodin in my mornings to drive with as I like to get out almost everyday. Then switch to marijuna at home in the afternoons.

Couldn’t find my grinder…is that what you call it? So broke the buds apart with my fingers, crushing pieces slightly and filled this glass chillim, I think they called them, half-full and lit it up and me.

“Ah, I think I will talk to my blog.”

Was "Terminated" at my apartment complex Dec 30th, 2019 at 79 yrs?

Then had a bad fall the last day of the move such that I could not even do 10 hours of petitioning for my manager. Therefore I feel I need to file for disability.

Have chronic pain from lumbar surgery of 2006 and the air pressure changes plus my arthritis inherited from both mom and dad.

Taking opioids, Vicodin and recently morphine plus cannabis.

It took a month to get physical therapy going because the pain clinic and the physical therapy office couldn’t get their faxes to talk to each other. Finally I drove quite a ways to the pain clinic, picked up the referral and took it quite a ways again to the physical therapy office.

My right shoulder was hurt badly again by this fall.

Actually there is more to this

New Year’s Eve Week 12.2019

First communiques from a grandmother, me, who did not indulge in Cannabis back when, because she was a student of astrology and she still is, with her third teacher, Daniel Giamario and Totams. Because I have a Sun square Saturn right in the middle of my birth chart, it is to my highest good not to break any law. (Probably because you’re going to get caught! Yes?) So here I am up in age and know nothing about marijuana as many older women don’t either or men? So I’m on a quest to follow my dream of sharing with older folks what I am discovering regarding pain medications -Goddess-given pain relief!

First Words: Just signed up today at age 79 to work as a petitioner to get signatures for three petitions, two of which are Marijuna petitions.

Seems like I did petitioning in California in 1988 for three companies carrying 15 petitions and loving it! None of them were about marijuana however I did get one signed about trees that wasn’t even being circulated yet. When it did get circulated, I happily turned in a big pile of already- signed petitions!

I will try to keep you posted. Will know next week if my background check passed for being a petition carrier. I told my soon-to-be boss that I passed an FBI fingerprinting in Reno, NV in order to substitute teach back in 2001.

Later……
